Product Design & Development
Our medical device design and product development team at RadScan Medical Equipment facilitates medical product development through all phases – from initial concept generation through transfer to production manufacturing. We guide and execute along a strategic pathway, focusing on both product quality and regulatory compliance.
We incorporate the most current FDA & MDR guidelines and regulations, best practices and latest tools in the industry for your development projects – or any parts of it, based on your company’s specific needs. RadScan Medical Equipment is also ISO 13485 registered, so you’ll be confident knowing the products we produce for our clients are consistent with the highest industry standards.
RF Welding & Sealing
RadScan Medical Equipment utilizes radio frequency (RF) sealing and welding to create contamination resistant barriers without the use of adhesives. RF sealing is the process of fusing together thermoplastic material using high frequency electromagnetic energy, this creates a strong bond between two or more layers of material.
There are various plastics that can be RF Sealed and are typically called “thermoplastics”. Thermoplastics, when properly heated to a sufficiently high temperature, will soften to the point where they can be RF welded together. The most common types of thermoplastics used in RF Welding are Polyethylene, Polypropylene, Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC), Polyurethane and Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS).
Foam Fabrication
With decades of experience we can help with all of your foam fabrication needs. Using advanced techniques with the highest quality in mind, our capabilities are geared to produce virtually any shape or size for any quantity.
Our foam fabrication equipment includes:
- Large format band saws for blanking and staging
- Reciprocating band saws for accurate, high-speed cutting
- Beveling Saws for a variety of edge styles and angles
Industrial Sewing
We utilize only the latest industrial sewing equipment and technologies in an effort to meet time sensitive deadlines with the highest quality. We pride ourselves on providing you quality, so that you know your products are in good hands.
Processing a wide variety of fabrics, thermoplastics, and films, our skilled sewing team produces a broad range of products and accessories. With our diverse background, there are few sewing needs that we can’t address.
Product Assembly
RadScan Medical Equipment provides full-service contract manufacturing services to the medical device and accessory market, including contract product assembly and contract packaging in our FDA and ISO 13485 registered facilities. With 15,000 square feet of manufacturing and warehouse space, we can serve the needs of both large and small customers. RadScan is committed to finding solutions that meet your unique medical assembly needs and are proud to maintain an impressive on-time delivery rate. Your products will be assembled, packaged, and labeled in the same facility, ensuring the highest level of quality.
CNC Precision Cutting
We use high speed, state-of-the-art CNC equipment to cut, trim, and shape a wide variety of materials. Computer Numeric Control (CNC) machines are perhaps one of the most revolutionary forms of technology used to ensure precision and increase efficiency when it comes to cutting, trimming, and shaping materials. What once was a lengthy process has now been replaced by a practical, time-saving piece of machinery that will continue to provide precision cut products.
